Gladstone U3A
Learning Together for Pleasure
U3A stands for University of the Third Age. A U3A is a university in the original sense of the word: a community of people devoted to learning.
We are a volunteer co-operative of older people who share many educational, creative and leisure activities.
Providing programs with the aim of reducing social isolation issues in people who may not have any other social networks.
This is a platform to provide the opportunity to share our many talents and skills, be it educational, physical or social, such a rewarding experience for elder community members to share their life long knowledge.
We offer a range of courses and activities, such as craft, with Marie-Ann, on Mondays between 1.00 and 3.00pm. Held at the Phillip Street Precinct.
Such a great way to further your interests as well learning new skills.
Our final social event of the year will be held on Friday 28th November, 11.30-2.30, at the Phillip Street Precinct.
You will be provided a delicious lunch, thanks to Michelle and her catering helpers. You will be entertained by our Acapella Group, a Tai Chi demonstration and a wonderful performance by our 7 Sisters!!
Come along for a good feed and fun entertainment!
Book here or on our Classes and Activities page.
The last social event was held on the Curtis Ferry.
We all were given a most comprehensive commentary on the history of the Gladstone Harbour, along with the associated industries servicing our beautiful region.
